The Edgerton Foundation is a family foundation which has supported efforts to deal with difficult security, environmental and energy issues. The foundation also supports artistic, educational, religious and cultural institutions in Los Angeles and funds the development of New American Plays nationwide. Since 2006, the Edgerton Foundation has awarded 46 Edgerton Foundation New American Play grants. These fund extension of rehearsal times of world premieres at non-profit theatres around the country.
